Danyael Sugawara, an alumnus of New York University, pursued his passion for filmmaking at the Film Academy in Amsterdam, where he was accepted for the department direction in Fiction. Collaborating with renowned actors like Nelly Frijda, Liesbeth Kamerling, and Sijtze van der Meer, Danyael contributed to numerous NFTA productions. His directorial debut, "Alles stroomt," earned him a prestigious Gouden Kalf at the Netherlands Film Festival. In 2017, he successfully wrapped up the captivating series "Odds" for RTL/Videoland. Additionally, Danyael is co-writing the international feature film "When Fucking Spring is in the Air" alongside Heleen Suèr.
